Cross Writes about Antitrust Case Sentencing in Relation to Influence of Compliance Programs

The case of United States v. Kayaba Industry Co. in the Southern District of Ohio indicates that the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice will give credit in sentencing to certain kinds of compliance programs instituted after a guilty plea or conviction that seek to change the culture of the corporation to prevent future violations of the law. Jeffery M. Cross, a member of the Litigation Practice Group and Antitrust & Trade Regulation Group, writes about the Kayaba case in relation to the Antitrust Division and the impact of compliance programs, in the article "The Antitrust Division and Compliance: Lessons from the Kayaba Industry Case." The piece was published Jan. 21, 2016, on the Corporate Compliance Insights website.
