Freeborn Client Grand Central Brewing in the Spotlight as First-of-its-Kind Chicago Contract Brewer

As more brewers get into the contracting business, Freeborn Food Industry Team client Great Central Brewing is in the spotlight as one of Chicago’s larger brewers and the first of its kind in the city as a brewer that brews and packages only other companies’ beers. The West Loop-based brewer founded by David Avram and Conor McFerran initially will brew up to 24,000 barrels of beer annually. Meghan E. Tepas, a member of the Litigation Practice Group and Food Industry Team, and Joseph H. Donegan, a member of the Corporate Practice Group, represent Great Central Brewing, which was featured in the Crain’s Chicago Business article “One of the city's largest breweries won't be making beer of its own,” published Sept. 9, 2016.
