Freeborn Elevates Two Attorneys to Equity Partner

Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that it has elevated two attorneys to equity partner. The attorneys are Robert M. Baratta and Dov J. Pinchot.

Mr. Baratta is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group and a member of the Transportation Team. His practice focuses on environmental law and insurance coverage. Mr. Baratta has represented clients in virtually all areas of environmental and health and safety law, including brownfield remediation and redevelopment, permitting, compliance, enforcement and cost recovery. A significant portion of his practice involves assisting clients with environmental cleanups under various state-run voluntary remediation programs or in response to government enforcement actions. On the litigation side, Mr. Baratta appears in federal and state venues across the United States representing parties in environmental cost recovery and government-led enforcement actions. His insurance coverage experience includes representation of insurers and policyholders with respect to hundreds of millions of dollars in potential coverage. He also has extensive experience analyzing and litigating coverage under directors and officers and employment practices liability insurance policies.

Mr. Pinchot is the Co-Leader of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. As one of the country’s elite leasing attorneys, Mr. Pinchot has represented many leading businesses in major real estate transactions – office and retail, landlord and tenant – throughout the United States. Known for his ability to constructively guide parties through thorny issues, he has been a trusted adviser to clients in negotiating a variety of commercial leases, including office, retail, headquarters relocation, restaurant, sale-leaseback, culinary services and industrial leases as well as a broad array of subleases. He has represented many of the country’s leading businesses in connection with major leasing, acquisition and development transactions throughout the United States and around the globe and has successfully “leased-up” prominent Class-A office buildings, completed a number of major headquarters relocations, and closed complex portfolio and property acquisitions and sales around the country.
