Freeborn Welcomes New Partner David Doyle

Freeborn & Peters LLP has announced that David J. Doyle has joined the Firm as a partner in its Litigation Practice Group. The Group currently claims more than 70 litigators, making it one of the largest such practices in Illinois.

“David is a seasoned litigator with two decades of experience handling sophisticated legal matters for some of the world’s largest companies,” said Michael J. Kelly, the firm’s Co-Managing Partner. “He is a welcome addition to our already strong litigation practice.”

Mr. Doyle concentrates his practice on commercial litigation. He has examined witnesses in both state and federal courts across the country and has represented and advised Fortune 500 and privately held companies on a broad range of legal issues, including class action defense, auditor liability, consumer fraud, fiduciary duty and contract disputes, antitrust litigation, false advertising, patent infringement and other intellectual property matters, partnership disputes, defamation and franchise law. He was previously a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP.

“Freeborn & Peters’ Litigation Practice Group has an incredible reputation among firms of all sizes,” Mr. Doyle said. “Like myself, many of its attorneys came from large law firms, and it is frequently called upon to address some of the most challenging and significant legal issues across the country. Mr. Doyle graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in English, magna cum laude. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the Northwestern University School of Law.
