Description

Partners Jeffrey J. Mayer and John Shapiro will speak at the Institute for Supply Management's "93rd Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit" on Tuesday, May 6 from 3:50 - 4:50 p.m., and Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.

The former session, "Avoiding Disputes When Winding Down a Supply Relationship," will examine the legal and practical issues underlying termination of a supply relationship including termination strategies, continuing obligations, ensuring short-term performance pending termination and dispute resolution. The latter session, "Electronic Information and Supply Chain Document Retention Policies: Practical and Strategic Considerations," will illustrate how virtually all business documents and records are created and saved in electronic format. The presenters will examine the legal and practical interplay between supply chain management and electronic record creation, retention and deletion, including preparation and implementation of proper information-retention/deletion policies. This session should be included in the conference because electronic records management is an essential component of any supply chain relationship.
