Carranza to Speak on Cyber Insurance Issues at First Chair Awards Honoring Former Freeborn Attorneys

Freeborn and its attorneys, present and past, will play major roles at the 2018 First Chair Awards Conference & Gala Aug. 29 at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center and nearby Montgomery Club. Freeborn is a Platinum Sponsor of the event, which will include a full-day conference on legal and business topics important for general counsel, as well as recognize in-house counsel who have made significant contributions to the legal community. Among the conference panels will be a discussion on “Minimizing Cyber Losses by Maximizing Insurance Recoveries: A Strategic Discussion,” including Freeborn Partner Salvador A. Carranza, who practices in the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy field, as a panelist.

At the Awards Gala portion of the event, former Freeborn attorney Brad Bergmooser, vice president and general counsel for Baxter Credit Union (BCU), will receive the Top General Counsel Award and former Freeborn attorney John Hammerle, senior attorney at True Value Company, will receive the Top Litigation Counsel Award.
