Todd R. Southwell and Stephen R. Thorn are panelists at the Chicago Energy Summit, presented by the Illinois Real Estate Journal. Mr. Southwell’s panel will discuss, “Wind Energy 101: Fundamentals of Wind Energy.”  Mr. Thorn’s panel will focus on, “Zero Energy Buildings: Energy Efficient Buildings for Today and the Future.”  Full descriptions of each panel session can be found in the below conference brochure. 

Mr. Southwell represents public and private acquirers, sellers and targets in a large number of mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, leveraged buyouts and joint ventures as well as securities offerings. Mr. Southwell also assists businesses in various phases of renewable energy projects. Energy and utilities are among the many industries in which he has experience.

Stephen R. Thorn focuses his practice in the areas of: Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental Regulation and Renewable Energy. Mr. Thorn has served as an EPA attorney, handling counseling and enforcement matters under all of the major environmental statutes. He has been designated as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) by the United States Green Building Council.
