Jeffery M. Cross, Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group, will be speaking at the Practicing Law Institute’s Chicago conference, “Corporate Compliance and Ethics Institute 2009,” on May 20, 2009. Mr. Cross will co-present “What Makes a Compliance Program Successful? Exploring a Real World Program.” This session will examine a best practices compliance program and explore its key elements, including risk assessment, policies, training, documentation, auditing, the Federal Sentencing Guidelines’ definition and program enhancements with fewer resources. He will also speak on state-of-the-art ethics and compliance strategies and practices and ethical underpinnings of a compliance program.
