Freeborn’s Michael T. O’Brien Named ‘Litigation Trailblazer’ by National Law Journal

Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that Michael T. O’Brien, the firm’s Director of Information and Litigation Technology, has been named a 2016 “Litigation Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal. The publication bestowed the distinction due to O’Brien’s innovative development of Freeborn’s state-of-the-art E-Discovery Lab. 

O’Brien’s E-Discovery Lab incorporates a number of innovations to reduce the burden of e-discovery. These include the development of proprietary scripts and custom fields that categorize large volumes of data in ways that even today’s out-of-the-box software cannot do without advanced analytics, which may incur additional costs and time. This has resulted in drastically reduced review times, sometimes speeding up the process by as much as five-fold.
