Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that Aaron Hammer and Robert Karr have joined the Firm as partners, and Eric Madiar has joined the Firm as an associate.
Mr. Hammer focuses his practice in the areas of financial restructuring and bankruptcy. He represents debtors, creditors' committees, secured lenders, aircraft and equipment financiers, landlords and contract parties in all facets of insolvency related matters. Prior to joining Freeborn & Peters as a partner, Mr. Hammer was associated with Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw, LLP.
Mr. Karr is a member of the Firm's Business Law Group and focuses on service to clients both domestically and in Asia in strategic industries such as aviation, transportation, construction, life science and technology. Mr. Karr has extensive experience in assisting clients with establishing new enterprises, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and other corporate and investment transactions. Fluent in Japanese, Mr. Karr will lead the Firm's immigration practice.
Mr. Madiar joins the Firm's Government and Regulatory Law Group. He focuses his practice on legislative affairs and regulatory compliance issues. He has significant experience handling legislative matters before the Illinois General Assembly, and litigation matters before the Illinois Commerce Commission. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Madiar served as Staff Legal Counsel for the Illinois Commerce Commission.
