Law360 Reports on Freeborn Client’s Contract Breach Case Appeal to U.S. Supreme Court

In a petition filed last month, an Illinois doctor and Freeborn client is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his breach of contract case, arguing the Seventh Circuit overstepped with its factual finding that the doctor had no right to claim damages for lost professional fees in his lawsuit. David J. Doyle and Tina Wills, members of the Litigation Practice Group, represent the doctor who argues that the Seventh Circuit ruling breaks Supreme Court precedent that blocks appellate courts from resolving factual disputes. The case is covered in the Law360 article “7th Circ. Out Of Line On Contract Breach Case, Justices Told,” which was published Oct. 7, 2016.
