Fielden Fleming is an Associate in the Litigation and Corporate Practice Groups where he serves as a member of the Environment and Energy and Private Equity teams.
Fielden started working in energy law even before graduating from law school, acting as a clerk to the Administrative Law Judges at the Illinois Commerce Commission. After graduation, Fielden joined the Energy Practice Group at Eimer Stahl LLP where he represented large electric generators and investor owned public utilities in matters before state public utility commissions and state courts. In addition to his law firm experience, Fielden served as a regulatory and financial consultant to some of the nation’s largest public utilities and has advised these businesses on best practices, policy, and relationships with federal and state regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining Freeborn, Fielden served as General Counsel of Marvesta Holdings where he managed the company’s commercial contracting, corporate governance, mergers, and general corporate matters. As a member of the Corporate Practice Group, Fielden represents private companies, private equity funds, family offices and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, commercial contracting and other general corporate matters. As a former in house lawyer, Fielden has a genuine interest and understanding of the intricacies of clients’ businesses and a deep appreciation of their corporate needs.
