Stanton Fears is an Attorney in Freeborn's Litigation Practice Group, Insurance/Reinsurance Industry Team and Emerging Industries Team. He focuses his practice on defending companies of all sizes in a variety of disputes.
Prior to joining Freeborn, Stanton was in-house litigation counsel at Raymond James Financial where he represented the company in securities-related disputes before FINRA arbitration panels. He also served as an Attorney at DLA Piper where, in addition to securities litigation, he focused on medical device products liability litigation and representation and warranty insurance defense. He began his practice of law in East Tennessee, where he focused on employment law, auto-accident insurance defense, and landlord-tenant law.
Stanton also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Alternative Dispute Resolution at St. Petersburg College and as an Advocacy Skills Trainer & Coach at his alma mater, Stetson University College of Law. In his free time, you can find Stanton with his wife and kid cheering for the Buffalo Bills or enjoying the Florida sun.
