Anthony Zeoli Talks Crowdfunding Controversy with FOX 32 Chicago

After 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was murdered, his mother, Karla Lee, set up a page on a popular crowdfunding site in an effort to solicit donations to help cover costs related to her son's burial. However, Karla soon came under fire when accusations arose that she had used some of the funds to purchase a new car after she had met her crowdfunding goal. On Nov. 9, FOX 32 Chicago invited attorney Anthony Zeoli, a Partner in the Corporate Practice Group and the author of the Crowdfunding Legal Hub blog, to discuss controversy and to talk about the ethics of crowdfunding campaigns.
