The Illinois "saving" statute, which gives plaintiffs additional time to refile complaints that are voluntarily dismissed, does not apply to cases filed under the federal Jones Act. So, a suit against the owner of the Grand Victoria Casino Riverboat, for injuries suffered while serving as a crewmember on the boat, was barred by the three-year limitations period of the Jones Act.
