In its June 20, 2018, edition, Chicago’s daily legal industry publication, Chicago Daily Law Bulletin (CDLB), previewed Freeborn’s first Emerging Technologies Symposium, to be held July 11 in the mezzanine conference space at the firm’s office at 311 S. Wacker Drive. The event will focus on how cryptocurrency, blockchain, smart contracts and other new technologies are impacting businesses as well as how the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s current treatment of crypto assets is changing the business landscape for potential investment and raising capital. Presenters and moderators will include Freeborn attorneys who make up the firm’s newly formed Emerging Technologies Industry Group, led by Partner Anthony J. Zeoli.
