Combining his experience as head of Freeborn’s real estate and construction litigation practice with his love of beer history and culture, Partner Adam C. Toosley is the only non-brewmaster or restaurant owner who serves on the board of Chicago’s Brewseum museum of beer. Currently an exhibit at the Field Museum of Natural History through January 2020, the exhibit tells the history of beer through the story of immigrants to the city of Chicago. In an interview with Chicago Lawyer magazine, Mr. Toosley discussed the museum and its future, as well as how his involvement with the non-profit museum dovetails with his work with beer industry companies that are clients through Freeborn’s Food and Beverage Industry Team. The article, “Draft documents: How a Freeborn partner is helping a nonprofit brew up history,” was published in the April issue of Chicago Lawyer.
