This client alert discusses the new Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA), which became law on July 1, 2021. The FTSA imposes strict “opt-in” requirements and heavy penalties for failure to obtain a Florida resident’s consent and several class action lawsuits have been filed against companies conducting sales calls and texts to phone numbers with Florida area codes.
