Cross Comments on Steris Corp. Acquisition of Synergy Health in Story About FTC's Use of Future Competition Theory

In an expanding use of its future competition theory the Federal Trade Commission went to court to block the merger of Steris Corp. and Synergy Health plc based on how the combination is likely to affect future entry into the market for radiation sterilization of medical devices. Jeffery M. Cross, a member of the Litigation Practice Group and Antitrust & Trade Regulation Group, comments for a CTFN story on factors involved in the FTC's investigation of the deal.
