Cross Writes about Antitrust Implications of Exchanging Wages and Benefits Information

In October 2016, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission issued their “Antitrust Guidance for Human Resource Professionals,” which addresses whether the exchange of wages and benefits information between competitor companies is an antitrust violation. Jeffery M. Cross, a member of the Litigation Practice Group and Antitrust & Trade Regulation Group, offers insights on the principles behind the new guidance, as well as other related issues, including in what circumstances exchanging such information can lead to antitrust liability and how companies should be careful to prevent violations from occurring. His article on this topic, “Antitrust Implications of Wage and Benefit Surveys,” is the latest entry for his regular column "The Antitrust Litigator" column published by Today's General Counsel. The article was published in the April-May 2017 issue of the magazine.
