The Illinois Appellate Court affirmed the dismissal of a multi-million dollar wrongful death action brought against our client who is in the storage facility business. An employee of our client was murdered while working at one of the company's storage facilities by an unknown assailant. The employee's estate brought the wrongful death action alleging that our client was negligent in providing security for the facility and for not providing a safe work environment for its employees. The trial court granted our motion to dismiss and the First District has upheld the dismissal. In issuing its order, the First District relied upon each and every case cited in our briefs.
