Freeborn and The Bunker Partner to Help Veteran Entrepreneurs

In honor of Veterans Day, Freeborn helped organize a "Day of Action" to call upon business and political leaders within the Chicago community to support a new initiative that is slated to help veteran entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. Todd J. Ohlms, Co-Leader of the firm's Private Equity & Venture Capital Industry Team, led the charge in forming the firm's partnership with The Bunker, an incubator program that provides assistance to veteran-owned start-ups.

To kick-off the partnership, The Bunker and Freeborn hosted a luncheon on Nov. 10. The luncheon served to announce a series of corporate partnerships with The Bunker as well as the incubator's proposed expansion into other key markets. In addition to business leaders from Deloitte, Comcast and Wintrust, Gov.-elect Bruce Rauner and Sen. Mark Kirk spoke at the event as well as Freeborn founding partner Michael Freeborn.
