Freeborn Partners Tina Bird and Philip Comella Selected as Construction Lawyers Society of America Fellows

CHICAGO – Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that the firm’s Chicago Partners Tina M. Bird and Philip L. Comella have been selected as Fellows of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA).

The CLSA is an invitation-only, international honorary association of preeminent lawyers specializing in construction law and related fields. Attorneys are selected and invited into CLSA Fellowship based on evaluation for effectiveness and accomplishment in construction law, along with ethical reputation. CLSA Fellows membership is limited to 1,200 practicing attorneys from the United States and internationally. 

A member of Freeborn’s Real Estate and Construction Services practice groups, Ms. Bird focuses her nationwide practice on contract drafting and negotiation, arbitrations, civil trials, mediations, claim preparation, and mid-project analysis. She represents material suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, construction managers, design-builders, architects, owners, and sureties in every aspect of their business.

Mr. Comella is Leader of Freeborn’s Environment and Energy Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. With a practice spanning both environmental and construction law, he brings a unique blend of skills to handle problems arising in both areas. He has represented a wide range of companies in both areas, including the waste disposal, treatment and recycling industry, general contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers.
