Dylan Smith was quoted in a WGN television segment surrounding the current Apple v. FBI feud. Smith discussed the underlying issues of the current lawsuit telling WGN’s Sean Lewis, "The government has a search warrant for this particular cell phone used by Mr Farook .. and in fact that cell phone is owned by his employer. We're not dealing with privacy that's a constitutional concern, what is really at issue is the government’s request that Apple assist the government in getting that the court has said is entitled to access.” The segment served to provide background information to yesterday’s rallies that were held in 50 cities around the world in support of Apple. The television segment, “Chicago, worldwide rallies support Apple in tech privacy debate,” ran live on Chicago’s WGN on Feb. 23.
