Freeborn & Peters LLP Selected to Represent the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of A'Gaci, L.L.C.

The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of retailer A’Gaci, L.L.C. selected Freeborn & Peters LLP as its counsel. Partners Shelly A. DeRousse, Devon J. Eggert, and Elizabeth L. Janczak will be advising the creditors’ committee in the chapter 11 bankruptcy case of A’Gaci which is pending in San Antonio, Texas.

A’Gaci is a women’s fashion retailer which operated more than 50 stores located in Florida, Texas, Nevada, Illinois, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, Minnesota, and California and online. The current case is the second bankruptcy case for A’Gaci, which emerged from its first bankruptcy case in August of 2018. In its first case, A’Gaci closed approximately 20 stores. Now, A’Gaci, which was founded in 1971, plans a complete liquidation of all remaining stores. Freeborn has one of the most experience and well respected creditors’ committee practices in the middle market commercial bankruptcy cases.
