A Message from Freeborn & Peters LLP

We stand in solidarity with our African-American colleagues, clients, communities and everyone advocating for justice. Much work needs to be done to eliminate racism and promote equity within this country, and we will do our part to do better and to make a difference. As noted by the firm’s Executive and Management Committees in their joint statement to the firm last week:

In recent weeks, the world has been horrified yet again by acts of senseless brutality and racism inflicted on African-American men and women, the most recent being the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police officers. As outrage, discouragement and protests spread nationally and internationally, now more than ever we must not remain silent when it matters most to live and practice our Core Values.

We are a Firm of inclusion and caring, and we do not tolerate racism or the marginalization of people of color. As a Firm, we stand with all of our staff and lawyers who are angry and grieving together for the victims of this senseless brutality and racism. We are committed to the hard task of working towards a more just, equitable Nation and society. ‎
