Michael Moynihan Elected to Co-Managing Partner

Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that Michael A. Moynihan has been elected as Co-Managing Partner.  Mr. Moynihan will manage the firm alongside Michael J. Kelly who holds the firm’s other Co-Managing Partner position. 

 

Mr. Moynihan most recently served as Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use Practice Group and as Chairman of the firm’s Recruiting Committee. He has nearly 20 years of experience practicing real estate law and handles a broad range of commercial real estate and financing transactions. A significant portion of his practice involves the representation of owners and developers of large-scale commercial, residential and mixed-use developments, principally in major metropolitan areas. He is also highly regarded for his work in representing investors,  owners, developers and creditors in connection with distressed real estate transactions.

In 2006, Mr. Moynihan was named as one of the "40 Under Forty Illinois Attorneys To Watch" by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company, publishers of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer magazine.

 

Mr. Moynihan is a frequent speaker on real estate-related topics and is also involved in a number of civic and community organizations, including Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago, where he serves on the Board of Trustees.
