In a decision issued Nov. 21 in In re Pension Litigation, Judge John Belz ruled that the state's pension reform law violates the state's constitution. The plaintiffs in the case, We Are One Illinois Coalition Plaintiffs - the coalition of public employee labor unions as well as 25-named individuals who are members of state retirement systems - are represented by John T. Shapiro, a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group.
