Served as U.S. counsel for a London-based company in connection with the sale of a division that manufactures and distributes aircraft equipment in the U.S. and in Europe.

Represented Canada's largest freight railroad and intermodal transportation provider's purchase of a railroad operating in the suburbs surrounding Chicago, from a major integrated steel producer. 

Handled all aspects of the acquisition, development and construction of a 250-acre industrial facility joint venture.

Closed numerous railcar, locomotive, aircraft and vessel lease financing transactions.

Lead counsel for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in an antitrust case in San Francisco. The case involved allegations of tying, violations of the essential facilities doctrine, attempted monopolization, vertical foreclosure, coerced reciprocity and price fixing, resulting in a summary judgment in BNSF’s favor on all counts, which was affirmed in the Ninth Circuit.

Acted as lead counsel for a Class 1 Railroad in connection with the $380 million acquisition of three railroads and a vessel transportation company.

Obtained $40 million settlement for the State of Illinois on eve of trial arising out of a lawsuit against one of the world's largest mining companies for destroying a significant length of historic Route 66.

Successfully represented one of the country’s largest railway companies in an arbitration before the National Grain and Feed Association in a breach of contract dispute with a shipper.

Represented a major North American railroad company in $40 million acquisition of a Michigan-based short-line railroad operator.

Represented a major North American railroad company in the acquisition of a majority interest in a privately held railroad and transloading business for $18 million.
