Freeborn Hosts Emerging Industries Webinar to Provide Insight on Employment Policies as a Result of the Legality of Recreational Cannabis

In lieu of our Annual Emerging Industries Symposium, Freeborn’s Emerging Industries Team is hosting a series of webinars, beginning with “Employers Prepare: Legal Landmines in Illinois Cannabis Laws." Recreational cannabis became legal in Illinois as of January 1, 2020. Employers may still regulate employee use of cannabis in some respects; however, employers should be aware of legal landmines in new Illinois laws governing employee use of cannabis. Please join Freeborn for this webinar on Wednesday, June 24th at 12:00 - 12:45 pm CST to cover how employers can implement policies responsive to the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, the Right to Privacy in the Workplace Act, and amendments to the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act.
