Freeborn Welcomes Three New Litigation Associates to Chicago and Tampa Offices as Part of Firm’s Strategic Growth Plan

CHICAGO & TAMPA – Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that Lillian Grappe Lamphere and Jacob R. Schuhardt have joined the firm’s Chicago office as associates, and Amanda S. Keller has joined the firm’s Tampa office as an associate. All three attorneys are in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

A member of Freeborn’s Litigation, Antitrust and Insurance Coverage Teams, Lillian Lamphere is an associate in the firm’s Chicago office. She has experience representing publicly traded corporations, local businesses, insurance carriers, and individuals in contract disputes, real estate disputes, unfair trade practices, premises liability, noncompetition, and utilities regulation.

Prior to joining Freeborn, Lillian was an associate at Phelps Dunbar LLP, where she drafted legal memoranda, pleadings, evidentiary and dispositive motions, and appellate briefs. Ms. Lamphere received her J.D. (magna cum laude) from Tulane University Law School and her Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) from Louisiana Tech University.

Amanda S. Keller is an associate in Freeborn’s Tampa office and a member of the firm’s Litigation and Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Groups. Amanda specializes in insurance and reinsurance work, with experience in insurance coverage and litigation. She has litigated complex coverage matters and has provided guidance to clients on the interpretation of policy language, as well as the rights and obligations of insurers and insureds under policies of insurance.

Prior to joining Freeborn, Amanda practiced in the area of third-party insurance coverage and handled a multitude of coverage and litigation matters.  She has served as coverage and advisory counsel for domestic and foreign insurers regarding claims arising across the country. Outside of work, Amanda is actively involved with the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and has chaired multiple committees and currently serves as the secretary of the board of directors.

A member of Freeborn’s Litigation and Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Groups, Jacob R. Schuhardt is an associate in the Chicago office. He has experience conducting research and writing legal memoranda on a variety of issues including SEC disclosure requirements, defamation law, and real estate lease terms. He handles drafting legal briefs and contractual documents, and reviewing documents for internal and government investigations. Jake also has provided support for real estate arbitrations.

Prior to joining Freeborn, Jake was an associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) from Rutgers University.
